Jolien Rogers and Missin Impossible are back winning money in the arena again. They are placing at the Innisfail, Alberta Pro Rodeo.
Cory and Blue Borton had a sucessful weekend at the Cheyenne River Roundup Ranch Horse Competition. Cory was the Reserve Champion in the Open Class. Blue was the Ladies Champion.
Katelan and Kipty Watt of Claresholm, AB have been winning at high school rodeos on several Missin Freckles. Kipty is sitting second in the barrels in Alberta High School Rodeo.
Missin Earl was the 2009 Ladies Open Ranch Horse Champion at the Black Hills Stock Show. He had the highest score out of 185 competitors and the only perfect "10" in the fence work of the entire weekend.
2008 Highlights
Bryant Mikkelson had a great weekend at the 2008 Montana Circuit Finals. He was the year end Reserve Champion in the Tie Down roping on Stella a 10 yr old mare sired by Missin Freckle. They also won the average and qualified for the Dodge Circuit Finals in Pocatello, ID. Bryant also won the year end All Around. They have tie down ropin earnings in excess of $ 50,000. Way to go Bryant and Stella!
Missin Earl and Blue Borton had a great weekend at the 2008 Roper Barrel Futurity in Gillette, WY. Placing in each go round and ending up third in the average. They won over $ 1700 for their effort.
Congratulations to Dede Mikowski and Dash Dorothy on her Year End NBHA District 1D Championship. Also to Catie Birk and Missin Margaret on their Youth 2D Championship.
Missin Earl was the 2D Champion at the 2008 Northwest Barrel Racing Finals. He won his first trophy saddle. Thanks to all the NWBRA Girls for all their hard work.
Missin Earl placed in the first go round at the Five State Barrel Futurity on his way to qualifying for the Finals. Colonel Plumb Cash just missed making the finals, making two solid runs.
Missin Earl and Cory Borton placed fourth in the 2008 Central States Fair Open Ranch Horse Competition. His weekend continued when he went on to place seventh in the average at his first futurity in in Broken Bow, NE. (Cornhusker Futurity)
Maria Butterfield and Missin Troubles were the Reserve Derby Champions at the Fitzgerald Futurity held July 25, 2008 in Alberta, Canada. Placing in each go round they just missed winning the average by .019 hundreths of a second. Congratulations! They are currently sitting fourth in the Canadian Derby Standings. Troubles was the 2007 Year End Reserve Champion for the Canadian Barrel Futurities ridden by Jon Ottun. He also was the 2007 Barrel of Gold BBI Champion.
Blue Borton and Missin Earl were the Ladies Rancher Champions at the 2008 Todays Horse West Fest ranch horse competition in June.

They were the Reserve 1D Champions at the 2008 BRN4D Finals in May, 2008. They ran 4 times on a standard pattern, getting faster every run.

They also qualified for the World Championship Round, they ran a 16.8 but brushed over the first barrel. We look for great things in the future from this pair. He is just a 6 year old!
