2003 AQHA brown gelding. Clyde is a son of Missin Freckle out of a foundation bred Blue Valentine mare. Clyde's pedigree He has been ridden extensively on the ranch, drug calves to the fire at branding time for the past three years, drags reluctant bulls into the trailer and anything else we have needed to do. We have used him to rope and doctor sick calves, foot rot cows, and he has trailed cattle many miles. Clyde has flagged colts in the arena and ponied other horses. Clyde is my personal pick when we have to rope a cow that needs to be milked. He will hold the cow all day while my milker tries to get the cow milked!
We took Clyde to the Cornhusker Barrel Futurity in August, 2008. In the second round he ran a second off of the winning time. He is showing a nice style. Clyde was seventh in the 4D average at the NWBRA Finals. He stays quiet and just needs to be hauled. Clyde is running 3D and 4D times without being pushed and very limited hauling. Clyde ran at the Roper Rage Barrel Race in Gillette, WY on 2/13/10. He ran a smooth 3D time without being pushed.
Clyde is a solid all around horse for the whole family to use. We are heading steers on him in the arena. We took him to a jackpot on the 1/22/10 and Clyde did great. He stayed quiet in the box and had the fast time of the first roping. They were 5.6! Clyde was good on the slow and the fast pens of steers. Cory and Clyde placed third in the 2010 Black Hills Stock Show Drawpot roping on Clyde. He scored like a rock on some steers that were tough to get out on.
He is a gentle gelding that the whole family can enjoy. Clyde was the horse the leading lady rode in Western Skies. Even though she hadn't ridden for 15 years, Clyde was perfect for her. A copy of Western Skies will be made available to the buyer of Clyde!
We have used Clyde to give kiddie rides in the round corral. He is very kind. He can be ridden bareback, double or triple, or by just one person with a saddle if you prefer!

Clyde was ridden on a pack trip in the Big Horn Mountains in September, 2009 by a very inexperienced rider. He was perfect! They went through rough rock country.
